Parent Coordinator
Dear Redwood Families:
I just wanted to take this opportunity and formally introduce myself. My name is Sheila Villanueva and it is a privilege to be your Parent Coordinator for the 2021-2022 school year. It is my duty to make sure your voice is heard and that you feel welcomed in our school environment. Your suggestions, recommendations, and ideas matter to us, and I will make sure that I bridge the communication between you and the school staff.
My ultimate goal is to build and maintain an effective partnership between the home and our school community. Throughout the course of the year, I will keep in contact with you by posting under new school community news online and sending home with your child; newsletters, calendars, flyers, letters about events, and programs available to you. Also, look out for a variety of free workshops offered to families during the school year.
In order to maintain clear and frequent communication with you, please make sure your Blue Emergency Card is up to date. Accurate mailing address, email, and phone numbers are very important and will be used to stay in contact with you. We send a large amount of communication via email. If there are any changes to your contact information during the year, please contact me immediately.
I look forward to meeting all of you throughout the school year, but I am certainly available to meet or speak with you anytime. You may contact me at the school @ (718)276-4540 ext.2205 or via email at SVillanueva@schools.nyc.gov.
Thank you for your commitment to your child’s future success and I look forward to working with you this school year!
Sincerely,
Sheila Villanueva
Parent Coordinator
